Alves were born Rodrigo Alves on 30 July 1983 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to the parents of a Brazilian mother and her British father. Roserval Alves was Roserval's father. He was born in Portugal and came to Brazil in 1940. They started with farming, but they expanded into shopping malls and retail. At the age of five, young, her grandpa bought their Barbie dolls. Alves was born male. But, she visualized her self as a girl around the age of three to six. Played with dolls and could cross-dress.
