Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee of a plant. Sharon was born on 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are three of her siblings. Stone was thought to be academically gifted when she started the second grades at five. Saegertown School in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. Stone graduated in 1975. She was also a contestant at the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, and was crowned Miss Crawford County. Stone moved to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt in order to take on a job as models. In just a few months, she was signed with Ford Modeling Agency. After spending a year in Milan and Paris, Stone moved to Europe. In the end, Stone became disillusioned with the world of modeling and modeling in Europe which led her to take up acting in Europe while she was there. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews at the age of 20.
